Retatrutide is a single peptide that activates three receptors: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. Adding glucagon receptor activity to the incretin pair is what sets it apart, because glucagon signaling influences hepatic energy metabolism in ways GLP-1 and GIP do not.
