Research overview
GHK-Cu is the copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a sequence that occurs naturally in human plasma. The peptide binds copper(II) with high affinity, and much of its research interest comes from its role in copper delivery to cells.
It is studied in fibroblast and keratinocyte models for collagen and extracellular-matrix synthesis, in gene-expression work on tissue remodeling, and in antioxidant pathway research. It is also a core component of the GLOW and KLOW research blends.
Storage and handling
Store the sealed, lyophilized vial at -20°C and away from light. Let the vial reach room temperature before opening so moisture does not condense on the powder, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles once a solution has been prepared.
